I joined Blackadar Marine as Marty's assistant in October 2004. I worked for them 17 years ago when Blackadar was in all lines of insurance. After having my first daughter, I decided to stay home where I have been the last 17 years. During my time at home I kept busy doing part time work as a realtor, waitress and bookkeeper for my husband's construction business.
With this, I feel I bring with me a background in customer relations. As a business owner I know how it feels to be treated as an individual where my insurance needs are concerned. Owning a business and working with the public, I want to sell a product that I am confident to represent. I feel assured when I refer a friend or acquaintance to Blackadar Marine. I know without a doubt, that they will be handled with professionalism and individuality.
Working at Blackadar has proven to be a wonderful decision on my part. I feel like I am with family when I enter the office. Marty's door is always open. The bonus comes on Friday afternoon with a massage and lunch provided by "The Boss". Not a bad end to the week.

Since becoming a member of the Blackadar Marine
Team in October 2004, I have been impressed with the quality of service
that is provided by our team to our customers. I have enjoyed getting
to know our customers and helping them with their policies. I like the
fact that we treat people like people here.
On a more personal note, I grew up around Gloucester, MA and then made my way north to Dover, NH. Things I love about living in New England are: spending time at the beach, apple picking, camping, dinner in Portsmouth, live music in Portland, festivals and Yankee Homecoming, museums, or catching a show in Boston. What I like most of all is seeing our Red Sox-2004 World Series Champions beat the Yankees in Fenway Park, "Go Sox!" or seeing our New England Patriots win another Superbowl, let's keep the streak going! If anyone wants to give away any tickets keep me in mind.
Again, I am thrilled to be a part of the dynamic Blackadar Marine Team and I look forward to helping you with all your questions and concerns; after all, that is what I am here for.

New to Blackadar Marine as the Administrative Assistant, I am very happy to be a part of a group of people who really care about the product they offer and the people they serve.
I worked for a newspaper company for almost 15 years in MA and decided to find a job closer to home in NH. I was hired by the newspaper as the A/P Administrator and quickly worked my way through the ranks covering everything from reception, billing supervisor, credit/collections to finally becoming the office manager and ad coordinator. I feel my experience in office work aided in my being chosen to fill the position here.
I spent the last 2 years working at a local bank before joining Blackadar and learned quite a bit about the ins and outs of banking starting out in reception and working my way up to becoming a personal banker.
I consider myself lucky to have found a job I can not only learn from but where I can continue to use my office experience and customer service skills.
I was born and brought up in Newburyport, MA and currently reside in southern NH with my husband, step-daughter and two cats. I enjoy many things about living on the seacoast and of course boating is a big part of this community.
